Tough to take away much in the way of worthwhile observations from this one, given that the Falcons parked two linemen for part of the game, pulled Pitts, Bijan, and London late, and switched from Rush to Strand when the game was wildly out of hand. About all you can really note are obvious things, like that Blair is the next man up behind London, Hooper is up behind Pitts, and this quarterback situation is an abomination until the Falcons get healthier.
One note: Neuzil has been stellar in 2026, building on a quality 2025, and is probably a player the Falcons need to think about locking up soon.

Heavy, heavy rotation up front continues to be a theme, and the Falcons are playing matchups. Cameron Thomas drew heavy snaps and Yasir Abdullah was a surprise recipient of major snaps himself as the Falcons keyed on stopping the run and preventing Bryce Young from taking off, and both players were major assets Sunday. The team also prioritized beef up front with plenty of Dexter and Smith, though Smith struggled a bit compared to last week. It was also good to see Zach Harrison back in the rotation and getting work, something we should expect to continue.
With A.J. Terrell out, C.J. Henderson was once again the fill-in. He did alright in a tough matchup, allowing five of seven targets to be caught for 45 yards and two of Youung’s touchdowns, though his coverage was quite sticky on nearly all of those catches. Mike Hughes allowed all three targets sent his way to be caught for 70 yards and a touchdown, but is firmly locked in as the team’s second option behind Terrell and may be CB1 against Green Bay if Terrell misses the short week.

Rough week. Daniels and Perkins were both popped for special teams penalties, while Abdullah (1), Muse (1), and Mike Ford (2) all missed tackles. Ford is here purely for his special teams value, so if he’s missing on these opportunities, it’s not a good sign for his future with the team.
I continue to think there’s too much talent here for this group to underachieve, but the early results have been underwhelming even without Nick Folk missing kicks.
