The United States stole the show on Day 2 of the World Cup, breezing past Paraguay in a 4-1 rout at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. Fueled by Christian Pulisic and Folarin Balogun, the Stars & Stripes breezed to victory, putting four goals past a Paraguay side that conceded only 10 goals during their 18-match qualification campaign. That may not make the USMNT sudden favorites, but Mauricio Pochettino’s side certainly caught the world’s attention.
Now that all three co-hosts have had their turn at bat,
the floodgates are open, with eight matches slated for the next two days. Saturday’s fixture list kicks off in the Bay Area with Qatar vs. Switzerland, followed by Brazil vs. Morocco at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford and Haiti vs. Scotland in Foxborough.
