According to a report from Kicker, Bayern Munich and Austrian star Konrad Laimer have resolved their outstanding financial issues and should be clear to complete contract negotiations on a new contract:
Negotiations for a new contract had stalled for a long time, but now Konrad Laimer and FC Bayern have apparently made significant progress toward extending his current contract, which runs until 2027. The interim financial differences have been resolved, and according to kicker, a broad agreement has
been reached. The 29-year-old defender has been under contract with FCB since the summer of 2023 and has made 136 appearances for the record champions.
In the spring, there was a sizable gap between what Laimer — allegedly — wanted and what Bayern Munich was willing to pay. Now, those concerns have been alleviated. While Laimer will likely get a raise in his new contract, it probably will not be in the echelon that he initially wanted.
