For the first time in 2025, Indiana football has a clean availability report ahead of its matchup, with the Hoosiers’ report ahead of the matchup against Michigan State only showing players who are out for the season.
While Bryson Bonds and Lee Beebe Jr. remain out for the season, freshman defensive back Byron Baldwin is available to play for the first time in his career, having been listed as out in every game up until now. Baldwin was the highest-rated recruit in Indiana’s 2025 class and chose the Hoosiers
over Colorado, committing to the program twice during the course of his recruitment. He was impressive in fall camp, drawing some comparisons to D’Angelo Ponds for his work ethic.
It’ll be interesting to see what Indiana chooses to do here. Baldwin probably impressed enough in camp to earn some snaps as a depth piece in the secondary, but the Hoosiers may prefer preserving his redshirt now that he’s already missed six games. With Bonds still out, the secondary may be in need of some depth.
