Gabriel Bonfim earned the biggest win of his career on Saturday, but it came with some controversy.
Bonfim faced Randy Brown in the welterweight main event of UFC Vegas 111. After a great first round from Bonfim, Brown looked to turn the corner in Round 2, but ate a nasty knee that led to the knockout victory for Bonfim. However, Brown appeared to turtle and be OK almost immediately, but referee Mark Smith had seen enough and stopped the fight.
Following the win, Bonfim then called out former interim
champ Colby Covington for a future fight, as the Brazilian improved his pro record to 19-0.
