Syracuse men’s lacrosse knows its first two non-conference opponents for the 2027 season. The Orange will once again participate in the ACC vs IVY League challenge.
This year the two day event will take place in a neutral site at Gerald Ford Stadium, in Dallas, Texas, home of the SMU Mustings, who will join the ACC in the 2028 season for lacrosse. Cuse will take on the defending National Champions, Princeton Tigers on March 5th, and long time rival Cornell Big Red on March 7th. Last year, SU went
1-1 during the two day event with a loss at Princeton 11-7 and an overtime win at Penn 9-8. This will be the third meeting between the Orange and the Tigers in three years. The Orange won two years ago in the Quarterfinals on Syracuse’s route back to its first Final Four since 2013. A year later the National Champs got its revenge at home. Cuse and the Big Red renew their rivalry for the first time since 2025, during its National Championship year. Cornell has won the last three match-ups with Cuse’s last win coming in 2019 in a 13-8 win at the Dome. The Big Red has averaged 17 points per game during its 3 game winning streak against SU. Two of the last three match-ups have gone to overtime. Syracuse starts the challenge with Princeton at 5:00 pm on Friday, March 5th and finish with Cornell at 1:00 pm on Sunday, March 7th.
