The WWE schedule for its major events to start 2027 still looks murky, as we learn with today’s rumors.
Lead Rumor: Major WWE dates in 2027
The WWE schedule for its biggest events at the start of the year is still unclear as we get closer and closer to 2027. While the company continues airing promotional material for the Royal Rumble in Phoenix, they still have yet to give a concrete date for when the event will take place.
Now, Fightful Select brings word that they’ve heard it will be the weekend of Feb. 6. That would track with the usual
pattern of trying to avoid the NFL’s Championship Games.
As for Elimination Chamber, WrestleVotes notes all they’ve heard as of right now is the show will be held Stateside again.
Finally, as Sean Ross Sapp pointed out, John Pollock and Brandon Thurston recently revealed WWE internally has WrestleMania next year slated for April 10 & 11 in Riyadh.
Other rumors floating around
- According to WrestleVotes, Damian Priest’s character shift and turn on R-Truth was largely due to Rhea Ripley’s injury. Originally, WWE wanted to keep the Terror Twins together but her being out so long led to a change in plans.
- After word of his release hit yesterday afternoon, Bryan Alvarez posted that he was “told Keanu Carver was actually released last week”.
- Per Fightful Select, there is no expectation for Bryan Danielson to become an active part of AEW television after he came out of retirement for the Pac tribute show.
- Despite appearing regularly for Ring of Honor, Fightful says Alex Zayne isn’t under contract to AEW or ROH.
- PW Insider says Jimmy Hart is being brought in to do promotional work around Money in the Bank.
