The Blazer’s Edge Best Things Ever Tournament is well into Round 2 now. For those who missed the exercise, we started with 64 reasonably good things in life, seeding them into a 64-team bracket just like March Madness. Each day we run two posts, asking you to vote on the head-to-head matchup. The winners in Round 2 will head to the Sweet Sixteen. This is our way of adding a little extra conversation during the slow parts of the NBA summer.
This post matches up Coffee Shops against Swimming Pools.
Over the last three decades hanging out at your local caffeine-and-cream joint has become part of the American experience. Espresso, lattes, matcha…people grab a little pick-me-up on the way to work or sit down for a while to unwind, socialize, or work on that half-finished screenplay. It’s a simple way to unwind and get a little treat in the process!
Swimming pools evoke childhood memories of cannonballs and diving board fun, Marco Polo and splashing your friends. Slightly more mature versions might include tanning, drinks, and people-watching. (Beware the Speedos!) Either way, where there’s water and lounge chairs, it’s usually a good time!
What will it be for you, Coffee Shops or Swimming Pools? Share your vote in the comments section below and let’s see what advances?
