On Friday, we began the latest iteration of McCovey Chronicles’ most time-honored tradition: the Willie McCovey Memorial Community Prospect List, in which we will work as a community to rank the top 44
prospects in the San Francisco Giants organization.
In the introductory post, everyone selected a group of nominees to choose from, and today we will select one name to earn the coveted title of “top prospect” in the Giants system. And sure, we probably all know who that name is going to be, but we must still honor the democratic process and have an election!
And as always, the comment section can be used to stump for players and argue about others, so if any contrarians out there have some hot takes as to who should be the top prospect in the system, speak now or forever hold your peace!
