Notre Dame had one open spot left for its 2027 football schedule, and now that spot is filled. On Wednesday, it was announced that the Irish will travel to Charlottesville to take on the Virginia Cavaliers at Scott Stadium.
Notre Dame will now have 6 ACC games in 2027. Besides Virginia, the Irish will also play Clemson, Wake Forest (Duke’s Mayo Classic), Virginia Tech, Duke, and Stanford.
Fans that look forward to travelling to South
Bend for a game experience inside Notre Dame Stadium will only have five of those opportunities in 2027.
The Irish always seem to catch heat for its schedule, but they are sticking to a 10-2 model like they have in 2026 that has them playing 10 Power 4 opponents and 2 Group of 6 teams.
Notre Dame is 5-0 all-time against Virginia and last played them in 2024.
