Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Seahawks fans and fans across the country.
Wake up, Seattle Seahawks fans! A new Field Gulls Reacts survey has dropped, and it’s another prediction-based question.
Last season, the Super Bowl champions finished the regular season with 47 sacks, tied atop the NFC West with the Los Angeles Rams. The Arizona Cardinals managed 30, while the injury-ravaged San Francisco 49ers only recorded
only 20 sacks.
What changed this offseason? Well, the Rams got Myles Garrett but gave up Jared Verse, the Seahawks have a healthy Rylie Mills and signed Dante Fowler Jr, but Boye Mafe is gone. Arizona signed Jonah Williams and re-signed L.J. Collier, while San Francisco traded for Osa Odighizuwa and drafted Romello Height in the third round. They will also have Nick Bosa and Mykel Williams back, pending any more injuries to that team.
Let’s see how bold you are. The Rams have the Defensive Player of the Year and single-season sack leader, as well as Kobie Turner, Braden Fiske, Poona Ford, and Byron Young among their rotation along the defensive line. Seattle may not have the star edge rusher like Garrett, but they managed 47 sacks last year from a whopping 17 different players. Their interior duo of Byron Murphy II and Leonard Williams is as good as it gets in the NFL.
Which NFC West defense will end the year with the most sacks? I know last year ended in a tie but you don’t get a tie in this scenario. Vote now!
We’ll check back on the final results at the end of the week!
