Finally.
Alphonso Davies’ match for Bayern Munich before that fateful international break with Canada was on March 15. Now, eight months and 25 days later, he has recovered from the ACL tear he sustained during Canada’s clash with USA for third place in the CONCACAF Nations League. Ergo, he not only made the squad for Bayern’s -1 win over Sporting but even played a few minutes by coming on as a late substitute.
Asked about his feelings about his comeback after the match, Davies had this to say: :I
feel great. Honestly, it’s an amazing feeling,” he admitted, as captured by @iMiaSanMia. “Smile on my face. Yeah, it’s an amazing feeling.”
Hopefully, he and Bayern fans can look forward to more and more appearances as he nears full fitness.
