Hansi Flick is known for being calm and composed but reportedly let rip at his players during the half-time break of Thursday’s Copa del Rey semi-final second against Atletico.
Barcelona went in trailing 4-0 after a dismal showing and found Flick “angrier than ever since he took over the Barça bench,” according to Sport.
The report says that Flick was particularly annoyed with his midfielders, don’t forget he’d already taken off Marc Casado before half-time, and didn’t mince his words when he spoke
to the team.
“You deserve to be down 7-0!” is apparently what he said to the players in the dressing room at the Metropolitano.
Flick did speak to the media afterwards and was fairly composed when he was asked about his team’s performance and their hopes of turning the tie around.
“We didn’t play well in the first half. We don’t play as a team. There was a lot of distance between everyone,” he said.
“We didn’t push as we wanted. The second half was better and we have one more game, we will fight for it. We are capable of winning every half by two goals. We need our fans in the stadium.”
What do you think? Can Barcelona turn it around at Camp Nou?
