Portugal made it two wins from two in their Nations League campaign as they triumphed over World Cup darlings Norway last night in Oslo. Former Blue (twice over) João Félix got the game’s only first-half goal when he was set up by current Blue Pedro Neto from the left wing, before Erling Haaland and Gonçalo Ramos traded second-half strikes within minutes of each other.
Neto would play nearly the entire game after playing the full-90 four days prior, so hopefully he gets a bit of rest in the second
half of the break. Portugal have games left against Denmark and then Norway, again, next weekend.
Elsewhere, Jorrel Hato was once again an unused substitute as the Netherlands beat Serbia, 2-1 while Filip Jörgensen started for Denmark and kept a clean sheet in their 2-0 win over Wales. Jörgensen, who’s on loan at RC Strasbourg, also started Denmark’s first game in this break, a 3-2 defeat to Norway, as he stakes his claim to be the Danes’ new number-one following Kasper Schmeichel’s retirement at the end of last season.
