Multiple days into July, Bayern Munich has made precious few youth transfers. The Bavarians have signed multiple very very young talents, but 16-year-old Matteo Maric and 15-year-old Kemi Seudie are the only two U-17 and up external transfers of the summer of 2026 thus far, with the signings of both attacking midfielders made with the goal of only bringing in the best talents.
With that in mind, Czech news site Infotbal reports (as captured by @iMiaSanMia) that Bayern have their eye on another forward:
Bayern are in talks with Slavia Prague to sign Czech Republic U17 talent Matouš Srb (16/attacking midfielder/winger). Fee is expected to be in the region of €1m plus add-ons. Slavia are offering the youngster a new deal, but his desire is to make the move. Srb has attracted a lot of interest and is considered one of the most promising talents in the country.
BFW Analysis
The U-17s (and U-19s, to be honest) could certainly use another forward, given that the squad contains just five forwards, and the player is truly highly rated back in his country. The fee is expensive but not prohibitively so for the Bavarians’ standards. They paid around the same fee for Noël Aséko Nkili back when he was around the same age in 2022. If the player truly does desire to move abroad, the Bavarians’ offer will certainly be more lucrative than Slavia can afford to offer.
It will also be interesting to see a Czech player join Bayern, even if it is only the academy. The Bavarians have signed precious few Czech players in their history. However, one can question the signing of what looks like yet another attacking midfielder and wonder how exactly these players will fit in their respective squads.
