Ferran Torres spoke about the rumors surrounding his future for the first time on Monday as he was a guest on the “Today Show”, one of the most popular TV programs in the United States.
The Barcelona striker was there to speak mostly about his goal in the World Cup Final to clinch the title for Spain, but he was also asked about the rumors of a possible move to Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
His answer is VERY interesting.
“I have a contract with Barcelona, but in football, you never know. I am waiting
to make the right decision. I don’t know yet. Dream club? I dream of being happy.”
If this doesn’t open the door to an exit, I don’t know what does. Ferran is clearly giving the impression that he’s thinking about PSG, and the “dream of being happy” part is especially fascinating given the reporting that suggests Torres feels undervalued at Barça.
Barça’s stance is that Ferran is not for sale unless he asks to leave, and these quotes suggests he might actually do it.
