The Washington Mystics defeated the Toronto Tempo, 79-62 on Tuesday evening. The win improves the Mystics’ record to 12-10.
If you only watched the first half, the Mystics shot under 30 percent and were down 32-26. In fact, they were down by as many as 11 points in that half. No one would have blamed you if you thought the Mystics would lose.
However, the Mystics came back in the second half shooting 51.3 percent while holding the Tempo to just 32.3 percent shooting.
Sonia Citron only scored 2 points
today, but Kiki Iriafen stepped up to lead Washington with 25 points and 14 rebounds. Shakira Austin added 17 points and 10 rebounds while Michaela Onyenwere added 15.
For Toronto, Julie Allemand led with 15 points.
