TCU junior infielder Jack Bell turned in the best season of his career in 2026, slashing .303/.452/.490 with six home runs, nine doubles, one triple and 27 RBIs. He’ll now seek to play elsewhere, as Horned Frog Blitz’s Jamie Plunkett reported that Bell will enter the transfer portal after two years with TCU. Bell made 105 appearances and started 86 games on the infield, mostly at third base. Bell, who started his career at Texas A&M, slashed .259/.376/.453 with five home runs, six doubles, three
triples and 31 RBIs as a sophomore in 2025.
Bell transferred to TCU after one season at Texas A&M, where he played in 19 games and made three starts while hitting .250 with a double, a home run and four RBIs. The 6-foot, 190-pounder from Corpus Christi, Texas will leave the Horned Frogs with one year of eligibility remaining. His departure creates a hole on the left side of the infield, as TCU will need a new starting third baseman for the 2027 season. TCU went 33-21 in 2026.
