Here is a look at how the Las Vegas Raiders’ 2025 draft class fared in a45-17 loss at the New England Patriots on Sunday and what to look for Sunday at home against the Buffalo Bills:
Ashton Jeanty:
The No. 6 overall draft pick played a season low 53 percent of the snaps at New England as he was playing through foot and ankle injuries. He continued to struggle as he had 27 rushing yards on 10 carries. He also continued to have trouble holding onto the ball as a receiver. Perhaps he will have better
health Sunday as he tries to regain his Week 1 form.
Jack Bech:
The second-round pick is on the injured reserve with a fractured forearm and will likely be out for several more weeks.
Darien Porter:
The third-round pick played 50 defensive snaps after playing just three in Week 4. He took over the primary outside cornerbacks role over rookie Zeke Masses, who took Porter’s job earlier in the season. Porter has a chance to get the majority of the snaps against the high-powered Bills’ offense Sunday.
Caleb Rogers:
The third-round pick was back on the bench with starting right guard Jackson Powers-Johnson back in the lineup after being out with a groin injury. Rogers did play four snaps on special teams. However, perhaps he will be in the mix at left guard if the team benches the struggling Spencer Burford. Coach Klint Kubiak said this week there could be competition to help the struggling line.
Charles Grant:
The offensive lineman, taken in the third round, didn’t play on offense as usual, but he did log four snaps on special teams.
Dont’e Thornton:
The wide receiver, taken in the fourth round, is in the 21-day practice window to return from the injured reserve. Thornton is coming back from a hamstring injury and helps he could be activated this week.
Tonka Hemingway:
The fourth-round pick suffered a concussion at New England and his status for Sunday may be in jeopardy. He is the leading snap getter at defensive tackle so the Raiders will miss Hemingway if he can’t play Sunday.
JJ Pegues:
The defensive tackle, taken in the sixth round, was inactive for the fourth time in five games. He was active in Week 4.
Cody Lindenberg:
The seventh-round pick played 17 snaps on special teams.
