Chiefs place two players on Reserve/Injured list | NFL Transactions Report
According to the NFL Transactions report released on Tuesday evening, the Kansas City Chiefs have placed linebacker Ethan Downs and tight end John Michael Gyllenborg on the Reserve/Injured list.
Matt Derrick of Chiefs Digest reported that Downs tore the ACL in his left knee during the rookie portion of camp. Chiefs head coach Andy Reid told local media that Gyllenborg would be starting camp on the Physically Unable to Perform
(PUP) list, and signs are pointing to a “redshirt” year for the native of Kansas City.
Think of it as a proverbial redshirt year. And if Gyllenborg ends up being the baller that I believe he’s capable of being, this injury adversity will spare the Chiefs a hard 53-man cut decision and potentially save him from being poached onto someone else’s roster. It’s a disappointing development. But it may well just be the best thing that could have happened for his fit with the Kansas City Chiefs long-term.

Video also appears to show police officers carrying Mia Bieniemy from the house. Initial reports said she was in the hospital in stable condition.
“Mia Bieniemy had been shot more than once, and there were other people in the house to include Elijah Bieniemy, who we determined at the time was the suspect in the incident,” the Loudoun County, Virginia, sheriff told NBC News.
A .22 caliber gun was used in the shooting, NBC News said, and Mia Bieniemy was shot in the left forearm and shoulder.

Parking
There is no free parking spaces on-campus.
General parking on campus will be available in the following lots: H, J, K, and B.
With the exception of season ticket member days, fans will be charged $8 per day to park and are encouraged to purchase in advance here.
Parking for buses and RVs has been set aside in Lot C at a rate of $15 per vehicle.

Depth: R Mason Thomas, Felix Anudike-Uzomah, Vincent Anthony
Practice squad/outside looking in: Ethan Downs, Tyreke Smith, Anthony Dunn
There’s room for competition at defensive end. Karlaftis, Gillotte and Thomas are the obvious top trio, but Anudike-Uzomah can’t just coast to a backup role. Meanwhile, Anthony or another of the edge defenders can earn a roster spot without needing an outrageous camp.
As much as any other position on the roster, this group is dependent on potential. With at least one and possibly two spots open to be won, this will be one of the team’s most intruiging camp battles.

Kyle Shanahan says car crash was his fault, accident report was wrong | ESPN
Speaking publicly for the first time since the crash, Shanahan spent about 30 minutes with a handful of Bay Area reporters speaking about a collision report that he says erroneously assigned blame to a 21-year-old woman for the accident.
“I hit her,” Shanahan said Tuesday. “I don’t know why it was reported that way [on the collision report database]. The police report doesn’t say that.”
Shanahan then gave his full version of the events that led up to and through the collision between his Tesla Model S and the other driver’s SUV — a crash that left Shanahan with a concussion, a broken left hand, a broken nose, three broken ribs and 40 stitches above his right eye.
Report: Eagles make Jalen Carter highest-paid DT with four-year, $152 million extension
The four-year extension is for $152 million, could reach up to $160 million and includes $106 million guaranteed, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported.
The $38 million-per-year average makes Carter the highest-paid interior defender in the NFL, leapfrogging Jeffery Simmons’ $35.276 million average signed last month.
The Eagles picked up Carter’s fifth-year-option for 2027 earlier this offseason. Now he’s locked down for the next six seasons.
Plaxico Burress: Playing for the Jets and going to prison were “kind of similar | Pro Football Talk
“They’re both kind of similar because when I walked into prison my first day, I was like, ‘Damn, man, you are a f**king loser,” Burress said on The Joint Venture Show. “And I had the same damn feeling every day I walked through the door with the Jets. I was like, ‘Damn I hope we can win this weekend.’ Loser.”
Burress caught 45 passes for 612 yards and eight touchdowns for the 2011 Jets, who went 8-8 and missed the playoffs. He then played briefly for the Steelers in 2012, and his career ended with a training camp injury in Pittsburgh in 2013.

Can Chiefs safety Jaden Hicks take a step forward in 2026?
Hicks will be 24 by the time the 2026 season kicks off, and in Year 3, he is no longer a spring chicken by NFL standards.
He is still at an age where adding athleticism is possible, but for Hicks to progress in his career, the key will be to hone his fundamentals and continue to put himself in good spots against the downfield passing game. The Chiefs need a good season from Hicks, and a good season would help him solidify himself as the team’s everyday starting safety.
