The NFL Wild Card Weekend came to a close with five Maryland alumni seeing the field.
Chicago Bears wide receiver DJ Moore had a late-game resurgence in a comeback 31-27 win over the Green Bay Packers.
Despite no gain while being featured in the run game, and a slow start overall, the veteran wideout caught six passes for 64 yards. He then would catch the go-ahead touchdown to seal the victory.
Saturday night was Moore’s playoff debut, and his first career postseason touchdown. It was also his highest game in receiving yards since Dec. 20, where he exploded against the Packers for 97 yards and a score. That divisional regular season game also featured his last receiving touchdown.
After scoring 28 unanswered points in the second half, the No. 2-seed Bears advanced to the divisional round for the first time since 2011. Look for Moore to be involved significantly as Chicago hopes to keep their postseason dreams alive against the Rams on Sunday.
