Seth Rollins offered encouraging news for wrestling fans. In a recent interview with Complex News, Rollins — joined by his wife Becky Lynch — provided an optimistic update on his injured shoulder.
“I can do most normal things like wash my hair and scratch my armpit and all those things. So, it’s good,” said the former World Heavyweight Champion.
Rollins revealed he had surgery three months ago. He last wrestled in October, defeating Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel to become the Crown Jewel Champion. During
the match, he went for a coast-to-coast headbutt on Rhodes and landed hard, putting the full force of the impact on his shoulder.
Days later, in an angle on Raw, he was kicked out of The Vision, the group he started, and later vacated the World Heavyweight Championship. Upon his return, a storyline where he seeks revenge on his former stablemates seems likely.
As for when Rollins will be back in the ring, that remains a closely guarded secret.
“I don’t know exactly when we’re going to come back, but I’m making progress in the right direction,” said Rollins.
With the road to WrestleMania set to begin soon, fans are hopeful Rollins will be healthy in time for WWE’s biggest event in mid-April. Last summer, Rollins memorably faked a knee injury before making a dramatic return at SummerSlam, where he captured the world title.
This time, the injury is real, but the update is promising. Whether Rollins can make it back in time for WrestleMania remains to be seen, but for now, his recovery appears firmly on track.
