Barcelona star Pedri captained Hansi Flick’s side to a huge 6-0 victory over Valencia on Sunday in La Liga and put in another masterclass at the same time.
The midfielder wore the armband and led the team out, as Raphinha had been benched for turning up late and didn’t arrive until the second half.
It was another sensational display from Pedri, who was a cut above Valencia, and he posted a message revealing just how much it meant to him to wear the armband at the Estadi Johan Cruyff after the match.
He posted on Instagram: “An honor to enjoy the captaincy again and honour the memory of Cruyff with this great win. Work, team!”
Pedri has been in inspirational form again this season for Barcelona and was given a huge ovation at the stadium when he was finally taken off after 81 minutes and replaced by Marc Bernal.
