One thing you know about Lothar Matthäus is that he has takes.
For days.
For weeks.
For months.
The guy is just a take machine.
Some are good, some are bad, but Matthäus always has one holstered and ready to go — and he is good at it.
When recently asked about Bayern Munich being linked to RB Leipzig star Yan Diomande, the German great said he thinks the Bavarians could be and should be eyeing someone else — Hoffenheim’s Bazoumana Touré.
“I’ve heard Bayern are interested in Hoffenheim’s Bazoumana Touré.
That kind of signing would make sense to me,” Matthäus told Bild (as captured by BuLiNews). “Touré has shown at TSG that he has potential. He could develop behind (Luis) Díaz and be built for the future.”
Matthäus also advised Bayern Munich to move on from the thought of pursuing Diomande.
“It’s said that Leipzig would only be willing to negotiate for Diomande if an offer of €100 million arrives. For a player who can’t get past Díaz right now, that’s too expensive. Bayern can save that money,” Matthäus remarked.
