The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are back home this week to take on the Stanford Cardinal for the Legends Trophy. While this is certainly a game that a lot of Irish fans will look down their noses about… I’m not one of them. Fuck Stanford — like for real. Despite all of thereasons I laid out in the Legends Trophy rundown
, this is a program that has consisted of equal parts cry baby bastards and dirty cheap shotters. So if Notre Dame can win this game 100-0 it still won’t be enough for me.
WHAT SHOULD YOU BE DRINKING?
When we’re
talking about body clocks… it’ll still be morning in California when this game kicks off, so let’s break out a breakfast favorite.
The Bloody Mary
WHAT SHOULD YOU BE EATING?
Did someone say breakfast? Well, what’s the mosyt football of all breakfast foods? Of course — pancakes.
Cinnamon Apple Pancakes
THREE OTHER GAMES
Here are three other games that I’m paying particular attention to this week:
Indiana Hoosiers @ Nebraska Cornuskers — NOON
Texas Longhorns VS Oklahoma Sooners — 3:30
Georgia Bulldogs @ Alabama Crimson Tide — 7:30
These three games all have something in common… I want to know what they’re all about. Nebraska is undefeated and at home — can they pull off the upset? Oklahoma seems like they might actually be awful, but the Red River Shootout has always been a little wild — does No. 1 go down? There’s not a whole lot more that you need to say… it’s friggin Georgia and Alabama.
THE POD BABY
PREDICTION
I really don’t know how this doesn’t get out of control. Notre Dame will be looking to flex all of its muscles in the fancy green uniforms, and Stanford just sucks — to put it plainly. It’s going to be brutal.
Notre Dame 66, Stanford 0
