Harry Kane is the best striker in the world. The Englishman had already impressed the world in his first two seasons at Bayern Munich after transferring from Tottenham Hotspur, however, Kane has taken
his game to yet another level in the 2025/26 season. The 32-year-old striker currently leads the European golden boot race, followed closely by Kylian Mbappé and Erling Haaland. Surprisingly, it’s not just Kane’s goal scoring exploits that have caught the eye of the footballing world but rather his positional flexibility and play making ability. Bayern are lucky to have Kane, although, his influence hasn’t just impacted Die Rekordmeister.
According to Bayern manager, Vincent Kompany, Nicolas Jackson has directly benefited from Kane’s tutelage.
“Harry has a level of consistency that is very impressive,” said Kompany in an interview ahead of Bayern’s Bundesliga clash against FSV Mainz 05 (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). “Harry and Nicolas [Jackson] have a very good relationship in training. They always practice finishing together. Nicolas is developing further because he’s training with Harry. You can see that Harry feels comfortable in Munich – with his family and in this team. We have an absolute leader in him.”
While Jackson hasn’t lit the Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal or UEFA Champions League on fire this season, he has been a reliable backup to Kane and an important depth piece for Kompany’s Bayern. Now that the German side are no longer obligated to sign the Senegalese striker for Chelsea’s, quite frankly outrageous asking price; it will be interesting to see if Bayern attempt to sign Jackson after his loan spell for a more realistic fee.
Do you think Bayern should sign Jackson permanently? If so, what do you think a fair valuation would be for the Senegalese striker?
