This year’s Kentucky Basketball vs. Indiana Hoosiers matchup will be moved up a month from its original schedule.
According to UK, the Wildcats’ matchup against Indiana has officially been moved to Friday, November 20. The game will still be played inside Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis and will air nationally on CBS, although an official tip-off time has not yet been announced. Because the game is airing on a Friday, it will almost certainly be at 7 PM or later.
This season’s matchup marks the second
game in the currently planned four-game series between the two programs. Last season, Kentucky defeated Indiana 72-60 inside Rupp Arena in the first meeting of the renewed rivalry series.
After this year’s neutral-site matchup in Indianapolis, the Wildcats are scheduled to host Indiana at Rupp Arena during the 2027-28 season before the final scheduled game of the series takes place at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington during the 2028-29 season.
The all-time series between the two blue blood programs currently favors Kentucky, 32-25.
Kentucky and Indiana originally agreed to resume the rivalry back in October 2023 when John Calipari and Mike Woodson were leading the two programs. However, both schools now have new coaches. Mark Pope is now coaching Kentucky and heading into Year 3, while Darian DeVries is entering his second season with the Hoosiers.
Both teams are also expected to feature brand new rosters entering next season, making the November 20 showdown one of the more anticipated non-conference matchups of the early college basketball season.
