Jay Johnson has struck gold (literally) in the transfer portal once again.
Bino Watters, one of the top left-handed bats in college baseball, has committed to LSU as one of the top portal targets.
Watters, a 2026 First-Team All-ACC talent, had a breakout sophomore campaign for the Irish, producing a slash line of .362/.447/.610 to go along with 10 home runs, 18 doubles, and 51 RBIs.
LSU is coming off one of its worst seasons in recent memory, going 30-28 overall and 9-21 in conference play. The Tigers struggled in the SEC Tournament in Hoover and failed to make the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2011.
With this acquisition, Johnson has now secured the #1, #2, and #26 players in the transfer portal.
Watters took to X to announce his commitment.
