Bayern among clubs eyeing Vinícius Júnior (ESPN)
These rumors prop up from time-to-time, and now there has been another report that Bayern Munich would be in the mix for Real Madrid star Vinícius Júnior should he decide to leave the club.
In addition to the Bavarians, Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Paris Saint-Germain are also rumored to be interested in the Brazilian:
Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich have been contacted by intermediaries regarding
a possible move for Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr. this summer, according to TEAMtalk. Some of Europe’s top clubs have been sounded out about a deal as the winger enters the final year of his contract, while the Saudi Pro League is also ready to move if any opportunity arises. Contract talks with the 25-year Brazil international have stalled for the past few months and sources recently told ESPN that negotiations may not resume until after the 2026 World Cup, though the player has reiterated that he wants to stay.
It is hard to fathom that Bayern Munich would spend the kind of money needed to procure and sign Vinícius Júnior, but it was convenient timing for this rumor to come up again, eh?
Trippier out at Newcastle (Sky Sports)
At one point, Kieran Trippier was linked to Bayern Munich, but the move never materialized. Now, he will be leaving Newcastle United and heading into free agency:
Kieran Trippier will leave Newcastle at the end of the season when his contract expires. The 35-year-old has made 157 appearances for the club over five seasons since joining from Atletico Madrid. Trippier has been a key part of Newcastle’s two Champions League campaigns and helped them win the Carabao Cup last year.
He said: “The time has come to leave this amazing club after four-and-a-half years. This is where I have felt most at home. It’s emotional and I’m really going to miss it. I want to say a massive thank you to the supporters for all the support through the good and the bad times. You’ve always supported me, always stood by me. To my team-mates, it’s going to be emotional. It’s been an amazing journey with you guys. I’m going to miss you all but to win a trophy with you guys was really special – the best of my career. And to Eddie Howe, all the coaching staff and the team behind the scenes, a massive thank you. The gaffer had the trust – twice – to sign me, gave me the opportunity to represent and captain this great club and most importantly, we managed to win a trophy. I’m going to miss everyone at the club. Thank you.”
Real confident it can get Rodri (ESPN)
Real Madrid might be focused on Bayern Munich at the moment, but it does have one eye on getting Manchester City midfielder Rodri this summer:
Real Madrid are increasingly confident of sealing a move for Manchester City midfielder Rodri this summer, claims TEAMtalk. Rodri, 29, has reportedly held discussions with City about the possible terms for an exit this summer and, while he continues to be linked with a move to the Bernabeu, Real Madrid won’t “pay over the odds” to bring the Spain international to the club. An offer of €60 million will reportedly be enough to do a deal.
Pep Guardiola has already implied that Manchester City would not stand in the way of Rodri exiting the club, which makes this move feel increasingly more viable.
Chelsea, Fernández not in agreement on new deal (Sky Sports)
Chelsea and midfielder Enzo Fernández are still far apart on a new contract:
Enzo Fernandez’s agent Javier Pastore says talks over a new contract at Chelsea have stalled, with no agreement reached. Speaking to The Athletic, he said: “There have been talks about renewing his contract, yes. We started discussing it around December or January, but we couldn’t reach an agreement. As Enzo’s contract still has six years to run, we decided not to renew it because the terms weren’t right for us or for the player. Given what Enzo is capable of today, he deserves much more than he’s currently earning. We felt that rather than renewing on terms that wouldn’t make the player happy, it was better to leave things as they are and focus on playing and performing well… We don’t want to get into discussions about figures, contracts and negotiations when the timing wasn’t right.”
Real open to Camavinga exit (ESPN)
Real Madrid could be open to seeing Eduardo Camavinga pursue other options:
AS reports that Real Madrid are open to a potential exit for Eduardo Camavinga, with PSG monitoring the midfielder’s situation. The 23-year-old has been with Los Blancos since 2021, but has struggled to make himself a regular starter since joining from Rennes. A switch back to Ligue 1 could reignite his career once again, though Madrid would want to make a profit on the €40 million they paid to sign him five years ago.
However, Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg says that Camavinga is not thinking about leaving:
🚨🆕 Eduardo #Camavinga currently has no intention of leaving Real Madrid.
There have been no talks with other clubs and no signs of dissatisfaction.
23 y/o Camavinga wants to stay at Real for as long as possible. His contract runs until 2029.

Back in 2020, Bayern Munich was linked to Camavinga….2020 feels like forever ago, doesn’t it?

Diomandé will decide also based on bids this summer.
