What is the story about?
After two seasons at Penn State, Dominick Stewart is entering the transfer portal:
Stewart averaged 5 points per game in 56 games with the Nittany Lions. He spent most of 2024-25 coming off the bench but
moved into a starting role in 2025-26. He will have two years of eligibility remaining.
Six players from the 2025-26 roster have already entered the portal. Penn State basketball will never be a powerhouse, but the down spiral we are seeing is hard to watch. The path for this program to be competitive in the NIL era is narrow. The late 2010s formula of recruiting Philadelphia and developing players over several years does not feel realistic anymore.
