TNA made two moves on the transaction wire. They signed one fan favorite and re-signed another.
First is the announcement that Shotzi Blackheart inked a deal with TNA as a free agent.
Spoiler alert that is not really a spoiler anymore.
Shotzi is the reigning women’s champion in MLW, at least in what has aired on the weekly MLW Fusion episodes. In the current day time line, Shotzi already dropped
the title to Masha Slamovich, which has been openly acknowledged by MLW in hyping Slamovich’s participation in the CMLL Women’s Grand Prix on October 23. In another spoiler alert that is not really a spoiler anymore, Shotzi made her TNA debut at the last batch of TV tapings, which has yet to air on Impact.
The question will be how Shotzi fits into the mix in TNA storylines. In the press release, TNA mentioned ten fun facts, and one in particular could be a hint. “Is a paranormal investigator and has hunted ghosts all over America for her YouTube series, CHAMBER OF HORRORS.” Shotzi’s skills as paranormal investigator sure make sense to fit into Rosemary’s Undead Realm story.
The second fan favorite is Santino Marella re-signing with TNA.
Marella is currently an authority figure on screen as the Director of Authority. He has an ongoing power struggle with Director of Operations Daria Rae, who is currently suspended for slapping Indi Hartwell.
