We are only a couple of hours away from the 2026 NBA Draft. The homework has been done. The workouts have been completed. The scouting reports have been written. Now comes the part where teams have to make the decisions that will ultimately define this draft.
Personally, it’s one of my favorite days of the year. I have friends who wonder how I can sit there and watch pick after pick after pick and genuinely enjoy it. Part of it is because I’m so immersed in the NBA ecosystem that I have a vested interest.
I’ve researched these players. I’ve watched the tape. I’ve spent weeks trying to understand who they are as prospects. Seeing where they ultimately land is fascinating to me.
But there’s another element to it. Hope.
A new season is still in its infancy, and while we have the barren wasteland of summer ahead of us, the NBA Draft is one of the final moments of genuine excitement before things slow down.
For the Phoenix Suns, we know where they’ll be picking. At least for now. The Suns currently hold the 47th overall selection. The question becomes who they’ll ultimately choose when they’re on the clock. Part of that answer may lie in the players they’ve chosen to work out throughout the pre-draft process.
So let’s take a look at every prospect the Suns have worked out thus far, per HoopsHype:
We’ll know in a matter of hours, whether it’s tonight or tomorrow, if one of these names will ultimately be wearing purple and orange.
We’ve certainly done our homework on this site, and I’ll give our writing team credit for that. Shout out to Brynn Tannehill and Brandon Duenas for the work they’ve put into their draft research. I’m thankful for it because over the past few years, I was the one spending countless hours putting together prospect profiles for everyone to read. This year, with the Suns sitting at 47, I wasn’t nearly as invested in diving into every prospect. Thankfully, Brynn and Brandon were.
So I applaud them. I applaud our entire team for the effort they’ve put into keeping everyone informed heading into the draft. We’ll also have our own Holden Sherman at Barclays Center, gathering information and providing an on-the-ground perspective throughout the event.
Now all that’s left to do is sit back and see how it unfolds. Let the draft begin.
