The NFL regular season is underway and each week we want to give you an update on former Orange in the NFL. Let’s get to this week’s recap of the 2nd week of the NFL season.
Arizona Cardinals: Garrett Williams
Williams did not play against Seattle, but reports out of Arizona have him progressing towards a return.
Atlanta Falcons: Matthew Bergeron
Bergeron started and earned a PFF grade of 63.8 with a pass blocking grade of 83.5 against Carolina. Atlanta’s offense is struggling right now, but a lot of that
is on the quarterback play.
Cleveland Browns: Andre Szmyt
Szmyt was 3-3 on field goals, including a long of 50 yards and hit both extra points in the Browns’ win over Tampa Bay
Dallas Cowboys: Justin Barron and Alijah Clark
Clark had one tackle on special teams against Washington. Barron was active this week and saw time on the Cowboys special teams units and one snap on defense.
Detroit Lions: Jackson Meeks
Meeks played special teams and got on offensive snap against Buffalo.
Green Bay Packers: Zaire Franklin
Franklin made 9 tackles against the Jets earning an 82.4 tackling grade from PFF.
Houston Texans- Jawhar Jordan
Jordan is on the practice squad in Houston.
Jacksonville Jaguars: LeQuint Allen and Trebor Pena
Allen played 10 snaps and had one target against Denver. Pena is on the practice squad in Jacksonville.
LA Chargers: Oronde Gadsden and Marlowe Wax
Gadsden caught both his targets to total 18 yards receiving and a touchdown. Wax earned a PFF grade of 80.9 on special teams against Las Vegas.
Los Angeles Rams: Dan Villari
Villari is on the Rams practice squad- thanks to the BMMCKain for the heads up.
Miami Dolphins: Kyle McCord
McCord did not play against San Francisco.
New England Patriots: Tommy DeVito
DeVito did not play against Pittsburgh.
New Orleans Saints: Fadil Diggs
Diggs did not play against the Ravens.
New York Jets: Andre Cisco and Kingsley Jonathan
Cisco made 5 tackles, forced a fumble and had a quarterback hit against Green Bay. Johnathan is on the injured reserve list.
Pittsburgh Steelers: Kevin Jobity
Jobity did not play against New England.
San Francisco 49ers: Enrique Cruz, Jr
Cruz, Jr did not play against Miami.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Riley Dixon, Iffy Melifonwu and Sean Tucker
Dixon punted four times with a 46.5 yard net average and 0 return yards. Melifonwu played 17 snaps on special teams while Tucker was not active.
