Robert Lewandowski’s agent Pini Zahavi has spoken about the striker’s decision to leave Barcelona following confirmation he will leave on a free transfer this summer.
The striker announced on Saturday that he has decided to walk away from the Camp Nou, saying it’s “time to move on” as his “mission is complete” at Barca.
Zahavi says that Lewandowski didn’t turn down an offer from Barcelona but has decided to look for a new adventure and hinted at his next move.
“Robert Lewandowski did not reject the
proposal to extend his contract with FC Barcelona, but he wanted to take on a new challenge and that is what he has done,” he told 365 Scores.
“Clubs from the United States and Saudi Arabia have shown interest, and the final decision will be made at the end of the season.”
Lewandowski is reportedly set to decide between Chicago Fire and Al-Hilal for next season, with both clubs keen on recruiting the Poland international.
