Fall ball is right around the corner. Even better, Missouri baseball just gave us a 2027 SEC slate packed with heavy hitters and key home series at Taylor Stadium.
The schedule features 30 conference games spread across 10 three-game series, running from mid-March through late May. In total, the Tigers get 15 home conference games right here in Columbia, hosting Kentucky, Alabama, Oklahoma, LSU and Florida. On the road, Mizzou will battle through teams such as Mississippi State, Auburn, Arkansas,
Ole Miss and South Carolina.
Here is how the 2027 road map shapes up for Kerrick Jackson’s team:
March: Revenge Games & Home Opener
Mizzou kicks off SEC play in Starkville (March 18-20) for an early test at the Dudy Noble Field. The Tigers will be out for revenge after ending their season in a 12-2 SEC Tournament loss to Mississippi State in May. Winning this opening series on the road would be a massive statement.
The SEC home opener against Kentucky (March 25-27), brings the Wildcats to Taylor Stadium. Mizzou took two of three games from Kentucky last season, including a clutch 5-4 opening-series victory and a 5-2 finale win. This time, the Tigers will look for a series sweep on their home turf.
April: Payback at Home & High Stakes Road Tests
After getting swept by Auburn at home last season, Mizzou travels to play at Plainsman Park (April 1-3), looking to flip the script and steal a series victory on the road.
Alabama visits Columbia for a huge mid-April series (April 8-10). Bama has gotten the best of Mizzou in recent years, including a sweep during their last visit to Taylor Stadium in 2025. Breaking that 11-game loss against Alabama would be a massive win for the program.
A trip to Baum-Walker Stadium will be one of the toughest road series (April 15-17) for the Tigers. Mizzou managed to grab a win in the series finale against Arkansas last year at home, but taking down the Razorbacks in Fayetteville will require a whole lot more preparation.
Oklahoma will make their second-ever SEC trip to Taylor Stadium (April 22-24). After a tough three-game sweep in Norman last season, Mizzou gets the Sooners on home soil with a hopeful chance to notch its first win against OU since they joined the conference.
The series against Ole Miss will have plenty of fans talking. Mizzou pulled off an electric 10-8 upset over the Rebels in the first round of last year’s SEC Tournament. Heading into Oxford (April 29-May 1), the Rebels are sure to be out for revenge in what will hopefully be the most entertaining series of the spring.
May: The Home Stretch
LSU comes to town for a May showdown (May 6-8). While LSU swept the Tigers in 2025, Mizzou showed they could hang with their opponents by taking a game off them in 2024. With fresh new talent on the roster, the late-season series at Taylor Stadium could be a big factor for their postseason positioning.
The final road trip of the regular season sends Mizzou to Founders Park (May 13-15). After dropping the series last year to South Carolina, the Tigers will look to repeat their 2024 heroics when they snatched a big road win in game two.
Mizzou wraps up the regular season at home against Florida (May 19-21). The Gators swept the Tigers back in 2025 down in Gainesville, but closing out the regular season on their home turf might flip the switch before packing their bags for Hoover.
The Postseason Push
Everything builds toward Tuesday, May 25, when the SEC Tournament kicks off at the Hoover Met in Hoover, Ala. Mizzou proved last season that Hoover magic is real. Entering the 2026 SEC Tournament as an underdog, the Tigers delivered a thrilling victory against the Rebels in the opening round. Although their run ended the following round against the Bulldogs, that Hoover victory set the blueprint for what this program is building.
