After his second consecutive collapse on the field during this preseason, Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala revealed that he is dealing with “neurological absences”, which has left the fanbase stunned.
In two scary moments on the pitch, Musiala looked prone and helpless, but he did issue a statement saying that he has full approval to play and that competing will not put himself at greater risk.
That seems assuring on the surface and Bayern Munich is backing Musiala as he attempts to work through this
condition (via @iMiaSanMia):
The German Press Agency (@dpa), citing information from within the club, says Bayern fully expect Jamal Musiala to be able to continue playing at the top level. There’s currently nothing that indicates otherwise. According to the club, Musiala’s participation in both games against Leipzig and Heidenheim was completely safe and had been thoroughly discussed with the doctors.
Surely, Musiala will get the best possible medical care as he continues to work through this and the club will provide all of the support that he needs moving forward.
