Notre Dame could be the best team in the nation and they put on a show one last time in front of its fans inside Arlotta Stadium. Notre Dame, the #2 overall seed in the tournament, beat Jacksonville 18-5 to advance to play John Hopkins.
Notre Dame (11-2) rolled to an 18-5 victory over Jacksonville on Sunday, May 10, in South Bend, Indiana. The Fighting Irish advance to play Johns Hopkins on Saturday, May 16, in Hempstead, New York. Goalie Thomas Ricciardelli made 18 saves while allowing just three
goals. Luke Miller tied the program record for goals in an NCAA Tournament game with five to go along with an assist for a career-high six-point effort.
Some interesting results from the tourney include ACC Champ and ND Nemesis, Virginia, losing to Georgetown. Duke took out #4 overall seed Richmond, while North Carolina and Syracuse both advance in their bracket to face each other in the next round.
