According to a report from Sport Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), German national team coach Julian Nagelsmann has informed Niclas Füllkrug that is will not be selected for the World Cup team:
Niclas Füllkrug will not be called up for the World Cup following a difficult club season at West Ham and Milan. Julian Nagelsmann has personally informed the striker with his decision.
Surely, this is a bitter moment for the striker, who had a tough time dealing with injuries and his form this season.
According
to report from Sport1 journalists Stefan Kumberger and Benjamin Zügner, Nagelsmann also dropped the hammer on Inter Milan defender Yann Aurel Bisseck, who was likely a longshot to get the nod:
World Cup disappointment for Yann Aurel Bisseck: According to SPORT1 information, national coach Julian Nagelsmann will not include the DFB central defender in his 26-man squad for the upcoming tournament on Thursday.
In a move that will be well-received by a lot of fans, FC Köln attacker Said El Mala has reportedly made the squad (KTSA and Bild via @iMiaSanMia):
🇩🇪 Said El Mala will be included in the World Cup squad. Julian Nagelsmann has already informed him.
How much did El Mala’s fantastic solo effort against Bayern Munich for a goal last weekend push him over the line to get the call?
