No. 1 Maryland men’s soccer forward Sadam Masereka’s hat trick against Michigan State earned him his first-career conference weekly award.
The senior was named the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week,
the conference announced Tuesday.
Masereka’s three scores against the Spartans propelled the Terps to a 4-3 road win — one that secured their spot as Big Ten regular season champions and the team’s first undefeated regular season since 2016.
But there’s not much time for celebration for Masereka. Maryland begins its postseason slate against UCLA Wednesday at Ludwig Field, in the Big Ten Tournament semifinal.
