Good morning.
The inherent and powerful loser energy of the Seattle Mariners was on full display last evening against a team that walked into ALCS Game 7 with their star player wearing a Toronto Maple Leafs
sweater. The Leafs, mind you, are on a record-tying seven consecutive NHL playoff game 7 losing skid. Vladdy Jr. simply looked across the aisle, saw the Seattle Mariners, and laughed at fate.
Thus, the Mariners will not enter the World Series appearance club, remaining the last team in baseball to earn admission. Haha Seattle and all, but I feel bad for their fans that it was George Springer that David Freese’d ‘em.
Over at MLB Trade Rumors, Anthony Franco checks out the offseason outlook for a Texas Rangers squad that didn’t get enough from their lineup in 2025.
For her newsletter this week, Kennedi Landry takes a gander at a trio of prospects that could make an impact for the Rangers as soon as next season.
And, after backing out on pursuing Albert Pujols as their next manager, the Anaheim Angels are also no longer considering Torii Hunter for the position either. Who’s next? Jered Weaver? Mark Trumbo? Hank Conger?
Have a nice day!
