Maryland football faces a crucial inflection point in its season Saturday.
The Terps are down to 4-2 on the season, with four-straight wins followed by back-to-back losses decided by a last-minute touchdown. They travel to California for a matchup with UCLA, a team with the exact opposite path as Maryland.
The Bruins started the season 0-4, with the firing of head coach DeShaun Foster coming after the third loss, but their season was revitalized with wins over then-No. 7 Penn State and Michigan State in back-to-back
weeks. Interim offensive coordinator and playcaller Jerry Neuheisel is already one of the best stories in college football just three weeks after his promotion, leading UCLA to 42 points against the Nittany Lions and 38 points against the Spartans.
FanDuel Sportsbook is buying the UCLA hype. Maryland is 2.5-point underdogs as of Friday morning, with the Terps’ moneyline win odds at +124 and the Bruins’ moneyline odds at -146. The over/under is set at 52.5 points.
