Each practice day this season, the Kansas City Chiefs release an official injury report ahead of the next game. In Week 6, the Chiefs host the Los Angeles Chargers for a divisional matchup on Sunday afternoon.

Chiefs
- Wide receiver Rashee Rice (Hamstring) was ruled out after missing all-week practice. Here is the information head coach Andy Reid provided on Friday.
“He’s out there and wanting to jump in on everything; he’ll be alright,” Reid said. “You never know about these things, but
he’s a pretty fast healer.”
- Left tackle Josh Simmons (Back) was ruled out after limited participation in practice all week. Reid shared an update on Simmons’ progress during his press conference on Friday.
“He has been getting better as we go here,” Reid said. “He got some work in; he didn’t work in the team periods, but that was the idea… to get some base under him, some fundamentals and technique and start getting that back.”
“He was excited to be out there, just to be back with the guys on the field instead of the meeting room,” Reid continued.
- Cornerback L’Jarius Sneed (Knee) was listed as questionable after limited participation in practice for three consecutive days. His time on the field is regularly managed due to a lingering knee issue, but he doesn’t always carry a tag into the game like he will this week.
- Defensive tackle Peter Woods (Neck) did not carry a game designation after a full practice on Friday; he was suddenly a limited participant on Thursday.
Chargers
The Chargers’ injuries are headlined by starting right tackle Joe Alt (Neck), who will miss his second consecutive game after suffering the injury in Week 4 against the Seattle Seahawks. Left guard Kayode Awosika (Fibula) will also remain sidelined; he played 85 snaps at the position over Weeks 1 and 2.
Los Angeles’ offense will also be missing wide receiver Tre Harris, who has led the Chargers’ offense in wideout snaps so far this season (232). He leads the team in receptions (15) and receiving yards (225). Fullback Alec Ingold (Shoulder) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list this week.
On defense, Los Angeles will be without safety Derwin James Jr. (Hamstring) and cornerback Donte Jackson. James hasn’t played since Week 3, but he has 21 tackles and a pass defended this year. Jackson has played the third-most snaps at outside cornerback for the Chargers this season, behind Cam Hart and Tarheeb Still.
Cornerback Rodney Shelley (Hamstring) and wide receiver Brenen Thompson (quadriceps) are doubtful. Shelley is a reserve outside cornerback, while the rookie wideout from Mississippi State has just one 13-yard catch this year.
The Chargers’ defensive line will feature three players questionable to play: Jamaree Caldwell (Knee), Bud Dupree (Neck) and Dalvin Tomlinson (Hamstring). Caldwell leads the unit in interior snaps this year, but Tomlinson has also been an important interior piece when he’s on the field. Dupree has two pressures (one quarterback hit) over 32 pass-rush snaps on the edge this season.
Linebacker Daiyan Henley (Knee) is also questionable; he has the second-most snaps (291) on the Chargers’ defense this season and leads the team in tackles.
Wide receiver KeAndre Lambert-Smith (Hamstring) is questionable to play; he would need to be activated off the Reserve/Injured list before Sunday, as he has not appeared in a game this season.
