Carlos Ulberg may have punched his ticket to his first-ever UFC title shot last night (Sat., Sept. 27, 2025) at UFC Perth LIVE on ESPN+ from inside RAC Arena in Perth, Australia, putting a brutal stop
to former title challenger Dominick Reyes with a first-round knockout (punches).
Reyes, who is known for pushing the pace and striking at volume, was more than patient over the first half of the fight. The UFC veteran didn’t even throw more than 10 punches. Ulberg, who is the cleaner striker, wasn’t throwing at an incredible clip either, but he was certainly in the driver’s seat. It was only a matter of time before something popped off and one fighter was left unconscious.
Unfortunately for Reyes, Ulberg was the one who landed a ridiculous combination that sent “Devastator” crashing to the canvas. Ulberg quickly rushed in to score two crushing blows that put Reyes out for good. It was a violent end to Saturday’s exciting card in Perth and a performance by Ulberg that could land him a UFC light heavyweight title shot his next time out.
