Barcelona have reportedly made some progress in negotiations with Marcus Rashford after meeting his agents this week for talks on his future.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona have made it clear that they want Rashford to stay but there are a series of obstacles to overcome if that is to happen.
The club are said to be making progress on personal terms with Rashford, with the England international expected to have to agree to a hefty pay cut if he is to stay on.
The other main issue when it comes to keeping Rashford is the purchase option. Romano adds on his YouTube Channel that Manchester United are still refusing to budge on price and want €30 million.
It’s a price that Barcelona don’t want to reach and seems to be the main reason why a deal for Rashford could potentially fall through.
Yet the forward is keen to stay and Barca hope that his will to continue could help with negotiations between the two clubs.
