We are in the second matchday for the Round of 32, and there are three matches for us to enjoy today. First, Brazil will face Japan in Houston, while Germany will take on Paraguay in Foxborough. In the night cap, the Netherlands will take the field against Morocco in what should be a terrific match.
Brazil are the winners of Group C, and they had to earn it on the field in what turned out to be a competitive set of matches. They finally figured it out and were able to outlast the rest of the group
to earn this date in Houston. They face Japan, the runners-up from Group F and a team that is no easy out. They play relentless and have the ability to put goals in the back of the net, which gives this match the potential to be high scoring.
In the second match, Germany, winners of Group E, will take on the 3rd place advancers from Group D, Paraguay. Germany tied France for the most goals in the group stage with 10, seven of them coming against Curaçao. But, they are coming off a 2-1 loss to Ecuador in the final match of the group stage and want to right the ship and get back to how they were playing a couple of weeks ago. Paraguay will hope to get an upset, after they held on to sneak out of the same group won by the United States, and their goal will be to do what Ecuador did in frustrating the Germans.
In the final match, Group F winners Netherlands and the Oranje bus are rolling into Monterrey on a high. They won their last two group stage matches by a combined 8-2 score. They hope they can keep the goals coming, but will have their hands full against Morocco, who made it to the semifinals in 2022 and want to get back to the end this time around. They will need to put together a great match to shut down the Oranje and advance to the Round of 16.
