Good morning, Broncos Country. Can you believe it? The Denver Broncos have won eleven games in a row and have already punched their ticket to the postseason. Folks, the Broncos are officially in the chase
for this year’s Super Bowl. I don’t think most of us could have dreamed up or imagined the franchise would have so much success by Week 16 of the regular season.
Times flies when you are having fun. Only three weeks remain before the playoffs began. We know how good the Broncos are currently. The only question that remains is this: Are they good enough to earn the number one seed and gain coveted homefield advantage throughout the playoffs?
Of course, they just have to take care of business down the stretch.
This Sunday’s gridiron matchup versus the Jacksonville Jaguars will be another tough test for our beloved orange and blue. Sporting a 10-4 record, the Jaguars are the current leaders of the AFC South. They have a shot to earn a playoff berth with a victory over Denver this weekend, but I’d bank on the Broncos getting another dub in front of a hometown crowd.
After that? A Christmas game at Arrowhead Against the Kansas City Chiefs. After a decade of dominance in the AFC West, the Chiefs have officially been eliminated from postseason contention. To make matters worse, star quarterback Patrick Mahomes will be on the sidelines when Bo Nix and his teammates come to town. Will it still be a tough game? Sure, though I’m confident Denver can come away victorious and give fans a well-deserved Christmas present.
The final game of the season might wind up being for the division and the top seed in the AFC. It just depends on how things truly play out beforehand. After losing to the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 3, there is no doubt Head Coach Sean Payton, his fellow coaches, and players want this game more than anything. It’s been a decade since the Broncos have been Kings of the AFC West and Denver has dropped three in a row to Los Angeles.
It’s time to buck that trend and I truly believe the Broncos are destined to finish off the ‘25 regular season on the highest of highs.
That’s right, friends. I have the Broncos winning out and going 15-2. How about you?
No matter what happens the rest of the way out, Broncos Country should enjoy the thrills of an incredible winning streak and season. What the team has achieved this season is remarkable. Many of us, including myself, thought it would take some time for the franchise to be competitive after the failed Russell Wilson era. Yet somehow, someway, the Broncos were able to go from the bottom to the top in short order.
How special is that? Enjoy the success while it lasts. And if we’re lucky, the Broncos will earn themselves another Lombardi Trophy to add to their collection.
As always, thank you for reading. Here is today’s slate of articles for Horse Tracks.
