I’m not sure that anyone had this game as the toughest on Clemson’s schedule back in August. Most would have picked LSU for that one. But here we are in November and #20 Louisville has one of the better
chances of making the Playoff in the ACC, even with their loss to Cal last weekend. And just to add to the fun this Friday night game in Louisville adds to the crazy. Not like Clemson night games against Louisville are picnics or anything.
Even with last week’s loss providing a blueprint, it is hard to see Clemson winning this one. The way this defense plays just makes it difficult for me to see a win here. It requires Louisville to derp away another game and Clemson to be disciplined on defense and play assignment football, something we really haven’t seen all year.
Maybe the good news here is that the Tigers don’t need to win this game to go bowling (Which is an extremely depressing sentence to write this late in the year). But a win would be a little treat in what has been a terrible season. Plus do we really want to have to really on beating the Gamecocks to make a bowl game? I just don’t want to deal with that level of harping once again.
As always join us in the comments below for this one, maybe we’ll get a surprise
