It was clear Jackson Powers-Johnson’s injury status wasn’t great, but now it appears it could be a worse-case scenario situation.
NFL Media reported Monday morning that, as expected, the right guard will go on the injured reserve and he could be out for the final eight games of the season.
So, Powers-Johnson, will miss, at least, the next four games while on the injured reserve. But it now appears the injury is severe enough that the 2024 second-round pick may not see the field until the 2026 season. Coach Pete Carroll earlier said Powers-Johnson would be out “for a while,” but it wasn’t mentioned that the injury could be season-ending.
Also, fellow guard Dylan Parham left the game with an ankle injury and he could miss the team. He was replaced by Will Putnam. The Raiders host the Dallas Cowboys, who have a strong pair of defensive tackles in Kenny Clark and newly acquired Quinnen Williams, who will be making his Cowboys’ debut against the batter Raiders’ interior offensive line.
The unit is also playing without left tackle Kolton Miller who is on the injured reserve.
