Steve Garcia vs. David Onama squared off in a Featherweight contest earlier tonight (Sat. Nov. 1, 2025) live on ESPN+ inside UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada for UFC Vegas 110.
Garcia worked on the front foot
immediately, pressing Onama back with combinations. Early on, he found the mark with a nice left hand to the body. Onama stayed defensive, keeping his hands high and flashing the occasional jab. At about the midway point in the round, Garcia tagged Onama with a hard left hand that briefly floored “The Silent Assassin!” Garcia stayed on the pressure, firing more left hands in continual combination to drop Onama a second time. Onama tried to keep moving, but Garcia continued to hammer him with power punches and a couple hard snap kicks to force the finish in the very first round.
This was such a dominant victory that it was nearly anticlimactic! Garcia found his range quickly and let his punches fly, and it seemed to catch Onama off-guard. Onama never throw anything with full commitment, which turned out to be a major mistake — you cannot allow “Mean Machine” to find early success, because he’s only going to increase his output.
Garcia has now won seven straight bouts with six knockouts. Who’s next?
Result: Garcia defeats Onama via first-round knockout
