Maryland field hockey’s Jordyn Hollamon was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week Monday, the conference announced.
Hollamon’s stellar weekend was highlighted by her team-leading three points against Penn
State in a 3-1 victory. She notched a goal off a 36th-minute penalty corner, and later added an assist.
Hollamon is currently tied for first on the team with 10 points, having notched four goals and two assists on the season. She was instrumental in the Terps’ 2-0 record in the Conference Cup over Stanford and Villanova, notching her first-career goal against the Wildcats.
This is Hollamon’s second conference honor of the season.
